¡Una cordial bienvenida al 2020!
Cada año nuevo ofrece la oportunidad de un comienzo fresco y nuevos principios. Aquí en el Lugar de los Padres queremos empezar diciéndole que amamos a nuestros voluntarios. Ellos son el pilar de nuestra organización. Ellos ayudan en incontables maneras a nuestro personal y se aseguran que cumplamos nuestra misión. Estamos agradecidos por su desinteresado servicio, porque el Lugar de los Padres no puede hacer lo que hace por nuestra comunidad sin la ayuda de ellos. Queremos tomar un momento y realzar a algunos de nuestros voluntarios, esta vez será el Sr. Woodrow Hendrix y la Sra. Anne Battle. Ellos han sido nuestros voluntarios para el día de fotos con Santa por más de 20 años. Nuestro primer Dia de Fotos con Santa fue en los 90’s y ha sido un evento popular para nuestras familias. Este año tuvimos el placer de ayudar a mas de 44 familias quienes tuvieron su momento especial con Santa. Cada año nos reunimos aquí en el Lugar de los Padres compartiendo las fiestas navideñas con nuestras familias. El Sr. Hendrix es tierno, amable, y atento a las diferentes necesidades especiales que nuestros niños tienen. La Sra. Battle, es paciente, amable y captura las caritas sonrientes de nuestros niños, y esas memorias tan preciosas que son la magia de la temporada. Santa, posee la cantidad exacta de calma al momento de ayudar a una pequeña de 10 años con parálisis cerebral y ciega a tener ese momento especial de las navidades. Si usted quiere ser parte del equipo de voluntarios de el Lugar de los Padres venga a nuestra feria de voluntarios el sábado, 14 de marzo del 2020, entre las 10 y 11am. Comparta su tiempo, energía y sienta la satisfacción de hacer la diferencia en la vida de las familias que tienen niños con necesidades especiales. Usted podrá ayudar en varios proyectos a apoyar a nuestro personal a hacer de nuestra comunidad una comunidad fuerte y compartir tiempo con nuestras familias. Welcome 2020! Each new year offers an exciting opportunity for a fresh start and new beginnings. Here at Parents’ Place we want to start by telling you that we love and appreciate each and everyone of our volunteers! Our volunteers are the backbone of our organization, serving in countless ways to assist the staff in supporting our mission. We are most grateful for their selfless service because we wouldn't be able to accomplish nearly as much without the help of volunteers.
We would like to take a moment to highlight our very own treasured volunteers, Woodrow Hendrix and Anne Battle. They have been our volunteers at Santa Photo Day for over 20 years. Our first Santa Photo Day took place in the early 90’s and has been a popular event for our community. This year we had the pleasure of serving 44 families who had their own special appointment with Santa. Mr. Hendrix is gentle, kind and attentive to the various needs that our children might have. Ms. Battle patiently captures the children’s smiling faces, precious memories and the magic of the season. “Santa” was cautious and possessed the right amount of calm when he held a 10-year-old girl with cerebral palsy and blindness. If you would like to be a part of our Parents’ Place Volunteer team join us on Saturday, March 14, 2020 between 10 am -11 am. Share your time, energy and feel the satisfaction and joy of knowing you will make a difference in the lives of families of children with special needs. You might also be able to support our staff with various office clerical duties. Learn how you can strengthen our community as you share your time with Parents’ Place.
