About Us

Parents’ Place provides information and education to improve knowledge so parents, caregivers, and professionals can become empowered, allowing them to advocate for their children more effectively.
Information is provided through:
  • The warm line
  • Educational workshops
  • Parent information packets
  • Referrals to local and national resources
  • Access to information on the internet
  • Annual information fair & festival
  • Meeting one-on-one with a family resource specialist
You can speak one-on-one with a trained resource specialist or parent. Although the Warm Line does not provide medical or psychological advice, being able to talk to someone in similar circumstances and knowing they have experienced the same feelings and needs creates a bond that fosters and renews strength at a time when discouragement can feel overwhelming.
As a parent, professional, or concerned member of the community, you are invited to join the Parents’ Place Family Resource Center Network Advisory Council to work with us in providing information and family support services to both parents and professionals.
Mission Statement:
"Providing hope and support for families with children with special needs through education and community resources."
